Ordesa National Park

The Ordesa National Park is a beautiful region in the north of Aragon on the border with France. It was declared as such in 1918 by Royal Decree before it was enlarged in 1982 to more than 150 square kilometres. The Park typifies the wonderful sights of the Spanish Pyrenees with a number of snow capped mountains, wooded areas and waterfalls.

The Romanesque Loarre Castle was built in the 11th and 12th centuries and is located at the base of the Pyrenees and so good views are inevitable. Some of its outer walls were not built until the 13th and 14th centuries while other sections have undergone various extensions and modifications.
Teruel

The city of Teruel is located in the south of the community of Aragon and has a number of architectural gems and attractions. The city features a world heritage site with four churches and a mudejar cathedral. Another of Teruel’s monuments is El Torico, the little bull which is to be found on top of a column in the central area.
