Malaga has a plethora of shopping opportunities, from large shopping malls and traditional markets to small boutiques selling just one or two types of item and the typical souvenir shops.
Markets
The markets are excellent for decent souvenirs, whether it be ceramics, leatherwear or gifts for example. Among them is Atarazanas Central Market which is well worth a visit, with its impressive architecture and interesting history.
El Corte Ingles
Spain’s largest department store chain set in a high-rise building with numerous floors selling a wide variety of goods.
Marques de Larios
Marques de Larios is Malaga’s main shopping street set in a pedestrianised area. There are squares, alleyways, churches and museums with a number of side-streets sprinkled throughout the area. There are quite a few expensive shops in this part of town and at the top of the street is Plaza de la Constitucion which plays host to an array of cultural and religious celebrations, and also has a choice of shops, delis and cafes to visit and explore.
