Ceramics
Valencia is famous for its special ceramics and it proudly lives up to its reputation. There are many specialised shop, devoted to selling all types of ceramics. Plaza Redonda in particular has a number of shops dedicated to this purpose.
Valencia Dress
Valencia has its own traditional dress and some shoppers may wish to purchase one of their own. There are some special Valencia dress shops around the city centre and behind Plaza del Ayuntamento.
Central Market
The picturesque Mercado Centro is an extensive food market which sells all sorts of produce, including authentic Valencian foods. The market is one of the oldest in Europe, dating back eight centuries.
El Rastro Market
El Rastro Market is a buzzing street market which sells a whole host of useful, as well as rather less useful, products. This is a really authentic place for tourists to go to buy their souvenirs.
Shopping malls
Valencia has a selection of large shopping areas that stock everything that visitors to the area will need, whether it be designer products or just a few souvenirs to take home. Nuevo Centro is the closest to the town centre and proves popular among many Valencians, while El Saler is close to the City of Arts and Sciences. Aqua shopping centre has a vast number of shops and also has places to eat and a cinema.
