Fish dishes are a particular favourite in Valladolid despite its distance from the coast. Seafood is transported down from the northern coast to quench the appetites of the locals. Another popular dish is Lechazo which is a dish featuring baby lamb. Valladolid produces wild mushrooms, asparagus, endives, beans, pine nuts and its own wines.
